Intimate surgery for women
Intimate surgery can be surgery for aesthetic or functional purposes.
Female intimplasty includes procedures for small or large pubic lips and vaginal tightening. In our clinic we only perform intimplastic surgery for lesions due to enlargement or asymmetry of the small lips. Asymmetry or larger size of small lips is usually of genetic origin, but certain lesions may occur with age as the tissues lose their elasticity. These usually do not cause functional impairment, only aesthetic problems. However, in some cases, an enlarged small lip may maintain irritation or inflammation, and may make intercourse difficult. These problems are solved by intimate surgery, whereby excess tissue is removed, thereby reducing size and eliminating any asymmetry, thus achieving a satisfactory functional and aesthetic result.
